Bandag Tire Repair and Retread System

The Bandag Tire Repair and Retread process begins by determining which tires are ready for retreading. We are dedicated to making sure the foundation of the tire meets all standards to ensure reliable, long lasting and trouble free performance of your Bandag retreaded tires.

Quality you can count on starts with the Bandag Process.

1. The initial inspection of casings for damage and defects including cuts, punctures and air pockets.

2. After the casings are examined for separations or complications that might affect performance the tires are buffed to remove the old, worn tread design and damaged materials.

3. Inner defects are identified and final repairs are made. The foundation of the tire is restored to optimum levels for a long lasting and reliable end product.

4. New tread rubber is bonded using the patented Bandag Retread Process to the casing at low temperatures thus avoiding stress and distortion often caused by higher temperatures.

5. A certified Bandag operator conducts the final inspection to ensure the newly retreaded tire is made with in all specifications and is in perfect operating condition.

6. The Bandag retreaded tire is shipped to the customer with a 4-year warranty guaranteeing workmanship and material failures as well as a 2-year warranty against casing defects.

The Bandag Retread Challenge

We’re so confident that Bandag’s application-specific retreads will reduce your operating cost over the competition that we’ll put money on it with the Bandag Challenge. In a comparison test, we’ll use two similar vehicles in your fleet that run similar routes, and mount application-specific Bandag retreads on one of them. We’ll help you track the performance of the tires on both vehicles, then record the data in our Mileage Tracker. At the end of the comparison test, you can check the results and see the cost savings you’ll get with Bandag retreads.
